How to Camp and How to Get Here
The California Bluegrass Association Father’s Day Bluegrass Festival is held each June on Father’s Day weekend at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, located at 11228 McCourtney Road in Grass Valley, California. The four-day festival begins Thursday morning and runs through late afternoon Sunday (Father’s Day), with a full slate of main-stage concerts, alternate stage concerts, workshops, and round-the-clock jamming. The festival is preceded by a three-day bluegrass music camp offering music students of all ages an opportunity to learn from some of the country’s best bluegrass musicians and teachers. For more information about music camp, please visit www.cbamusiccamp.org.
Camping is in the rough on the festival site beginning the Sunday prior to festival week through Wednesday, the day before festival opening day for a fee of $20 for RV's and $15 for tents per unit per night (lots of grass and big pine trees), on a first-come, first-served basis. Designated tent only camping area available. Guaranteed electric only sites available; see below for fee information.
Camping during the festival is included in 3 and 4 day tickets. Pre-festival camping is permitted. See below for details.

ELECTRIC ONLY HOOKUPS CAMPING
There are a limited number of electric-only hookup sites in the meadow/pond area. These 18'x40' sites are powered by a large generator (no water). The weekly rate for Electric camping begins Monday morning of festival week and continues through Sunday morning. Electric Only Rate: $110. Electric-only hookups — GFCI compatibility required If you are signed up for 'Electric Only' at the Father’s Day Festival at Grass Valley this year, make sure your RV will NOT trip a GFCI circuit. You should test your rig at home before you leave. If it trips the GFCI circuit that you are plugged in to, you should have an electrician or your dealer check the unit. The CBA will not be responsible for RVs that will not hold a GFCI circuit. Every year there are several rigs that have this problem. Don't know what a GFCI circuit is? Send us an e-mail and we'll get back to you.
